Tv goes dark Grey with vertical distortion

I can watch set for awhile then it loses something and goes Grey I can still see picture but only hear snow or static can anyone help me solve this problem?

Hey thanks for your response its appreciated that's not the problem I have to say. Since the Grey screen has disappeared and been replace by a black one have any ideas about this problem? Still has sound of course!

make sure your antenna is in correct intallation or maybe you have loose contact to antenna..

The picture on the TV gets very dark when the power goes out

It might be that it is going to a default setting when you lose power. See what happens if you select the default setting yourself. Perhaps there is someway you can get the set to except a new default setting?
Have a fiddle, see what you can come up with!

The tv picture faded while watching the tv and now all i have is a plad screen with grey and dark grey lines with red lines as well

is it a Mitsubishi TV set? if so your formatter or whats called the fmt board has bad caps on it.

Sony 65" Rear Projection loses picture, then gets diagonal lines

This is common problem on this tv, picture tube is bad. Blue and green is more % bad.

No Picture

Did you have color problems in past? Most of these sets have convergence problems. Amps goes out. But you should have seen some type of distortion from color, red,blue, green. If no color problems then maybe vertical ouput out or horizontal output bad.

it's called retrace lines ,your screens are set to high or focus block assy which has the screen adjustments on it also is faulty
