Insignia model ns-32lcd will not power on.

This unit made in Feb 2007 has no power on fault. The Insignia logo flashes from red to blue every 10 seconds. I opened the unit and saw no obvious defects, such as, overheated components. All connections are secure and a magnified view of each component showed no soldering defects. This is a common problem from my research on the internet with this model. I have a Best Buy estimate that points to the DSP board 6ha0086410. I need to verify that this is the cause before purchasing it.
Thanks,
Peter

SOURCE: Insignia NS-32LCD...Manufactured 2-07

This set should still be under a manufacturers warranty. This set has a board that is very hard to get. Do not let them tell you to wait, or you will wait and not get the set repaired. You need to call and have them repair or have them replace the set before the warranty runs out. If you do you will have a hunk of junk.. Good Luck

SOURCE: Insignia NS-32LCD Backlight or Inverter bad???

If you've done the flash light test, it could be the inverter board became defective but it could also be that the power supply does not provide the +24VDC to the back light inverter board.
If you could do the +24VDC test using a voltmeter then we can say for sure that the back light inverter board is defective.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

SOURCE: HI I have a insignia

This happend to me before with my LCD that I bought last year. It worked fine for a while and then, all of a sudden...nothing. The power supply was fine, fuses were fine BUT one of the chips or capacitor went bad on the process board and not being able to get the adiquate amount of power to be distibuted. I had my tv replaced and found out this was a defect rather than you or something done wrong to the tv.

Hope this helps you....

SOURCE: How to remove the back from Insignia NS-32LCD?

I unscrewed all the screws in the back, detached the tv from the base, and was able to get the back off. I ordered a new power supply board and will install it to see if it fixes the problem with the tv (won't turn on, insignia light alternates between red and blue). I didn't notice any problems with "swollen" capacitors, so if the new power board fixes the problem I'll update this website.

Red flashing power light blinking

These flashes are fault indications, and are called blinking codes. By the number of flashes occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here

Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

Red power indicator is lit, this will turn to a blue light with the Insignia logo lit when it comes on unfortunately it will not turn on either manually or with the remote.

Hi:
Have the power supply checked for puffy capacitors that are swollen on their tops. This is a common problem with LCD televisions. The problem is the five volt standy voltage is to low to turn the set on or operate the Micro. These caps are usually valued at 1500u,voltage rating of 10-16volts. some units use 3300uf rated at 10 volts for theirs capacitors. I suggest you use 2200uf rated at 16 volts.

I have an insignia NS-32LCD and it will not turn on

Capacitors are probably bulged in the power supply. Need replaced, not expensive.
