Go into your settings menu and check your sound levels.
Settings - Sound.
Most Android phones have separate volume levels for notifications, music, and calls. Chances are your notification volume is turned all the way down.
I use SMS Popup (from the Play Store) for repeating text message reminders. It has other functions, but I primarily use the 'reminder' options. I'm not sure if you could (or should) do 5 to 10 second intervals as it would probably kill your battery. I think that 1 minute is the minimum. I guess you could also use a notification sound that is longer. You could even record your own. I once recorded myself coughing and used it as the notification.
go to your settings. click on sound. here you should find a notification option and set which ringtone you would like. make sure that you go back to your sound settings or caller settings to make sure the volume is actually turned on for incoming text messages. the reason you might not be getting them is because you have it default in your phone to keep them silent. just browse your setting options for sound or calls where you will find a "volume" option. select that and slide your notification sound over to whatever level you like! hope you found this helpful!
Hi,
Go to menu > Settings > Sound and display > ringer volume> There you have a separate notification volume control. There you can adjust it.
Thank You
On your Blackberry menu, there's an icon that resembles a person's head that represents profiles. In the profiles menu, you can select the volume for the notifications you receive when messages or calls come in. Choose "Loud" to hear all notifications at an equal volume, equivalent to the maximum output possible.
Some ring tones just remain less audible than others even when they're set to maximum volume. If you've tried increasing the volume of your notifications but still can't hear the ringer sometimes, try downloading a custom ringtone from the Blackberry App Store.
When selecting a custom ringtone, choose something distinctive and hard to ignore. When previewing the tone, determine whether it seems louder or easier to hear than your existing tone. Download more than one tone and experiment throughout the day.
After you've downloaded custom ringtones, set your phone to use these ringers by going into the applicable notification profile. Select "Show Tunes" and open the media folder where you've chosen to save your downloaded tones. Select the ringer you want and click "Set as Phone Tune."
Make sure you have a ringtone assigned for your texts. Settings<sound settings< alerts < text message< choose the sound you want to hear. hope it helps :)
In your settings for the ringer volume, there is an "Advanced..." settings menu. You can easily access this menu by selecting the ringer setting on the phone, scrolling down to "Advanced...", and selecting this option. From here, you can choose the ringer or notification settings for that ringer type. You can adjust volume as well as notifications for things like e-mail or facebook. There is more information available on the Blakcberry website for doing this.
