if antenna only
you may be in weak signal area
or a new construction site or buildings deflecting the signal

go back to TV set up and re-tune tv to bbc if possible

if it freezes then you know its an interrupted signal

The problem your describing can be contributed to your cable box. Depending on your cable company there are times when the box has trouble translating the signal to the tv. You tv is operating normally. Suggest to the cable company to switch your box.

apparently the  the TV resets the channels bewtween 2:00 AM and 5:30 AM, so by changing the clock everyday to ensure that it never reaches this time should resolve teh problem, or just try an not set the clock at all if that is possible, my parents are having the same problem and ive heard changing the clock works, still frustrating, currys have been warning people off buying them due to " tuning malfunction" feel free to take it back to the store and get a refund

Well there is still a problem with the TV. I found that by unplugging the power cable that the digital channels worked. But, when I turned the TV on today the problem had returned, I had to take out the power cable again!

Your TV is in Showroom Mode - to change:

Menu>Picture>Mode>Power up>Home

Then go back and autosearch channels.

most newer tv's wont store the channels if the channel isn't always putting out a signal. not much you can do about it

ok, Sony had this issue on their early production. The problem you are having is called a leaky switch. The volume down switch on the TV is leaky. To fix this you must replace the switch. This part is called the switch block. Part number 1-473-549-21
