If you have the USB cable that came with your remote, connect your remote to your computer using the cable.
Go to
www.logitech.com/myharmony and identify your particular remote (i.e. Harmony 520).
The site will download setup software into your remote and then ask you to set up your account.
Beyond that point, the site will provide you with a clear, step-by-step process which will ask you to identify the activities you'd like to set up (watching tv, a movie, etc.). Be sure you have the brand names and model numbers of the devices you'd like to link to your remote.
Programming is done automatically without your having to look up codes, etc.
When everything is done, click the "sync" button or whatever command button completes the programming for the Harmony 520 (I say "sync" because that's the closing command for the Harmony 600, which is the one I have. I would think the closing command is the same or similar for the 520).
After that, you're good to go.
Happy viewing.
