SOURCE: LOW BEAM LIGHTS

Hi Rich Million,

Check the bulbs for the low beam problem and if they're ok, check the fuses under the bonnet (hood) which are found in the fuse box. If you've already checked those, go to the fuse box inside the vehicle.

Still no luck....remember that there are fuses and relays inside the cabin behind the kick panel.....You may find that there is a problem with the main fuse box.....If you drive over rough terrain, check the connections under the main fuse box....even if your roads are all smooth, it's still worth checking.....

SOURCE: Both Low beam headlights aren't working in my 2002

my suggestion is that you check/ replacr the HDM(headlight driver module) relay in the main fuse box located under the hood near the battery.

SOURCE: the low-beam headlights don't work.

Possibly the bulbs. Take a look at them; they have 2 coils per bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. So it is possible that the more used low beam burns out before the lesser used high beam.

High beams work for both lights, 1 low beam does not

Check for power with a test light with the light connected. If you have power then its the ground. If no power then you will need to trace the wire back to find break. As I recall they did have seperate fuse for left and right headlight high & low beam. Also did you get a defective new bulb?

Mazda cx7. both high beams work and one low beam works. how can i tell if its a headlight or some other problem

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. These new lights have two types lin one bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. Find the bulb that isn't lighting for the low beam and replace it with a new bulb. If it doesn't work, you need to check the wiring to that specific light. Since it is only one, the new bulb should work.

if your vehicle has H4 headlight bulbs fitted you will find that they have both high & low beam filaments in them, what has most likely happened is that the low beam filaments are blown & the bulbs need to be replaced, also you may find that high & low beam circuits are on separate fuses, & also the front markers may have there own fuse check the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.

Hello, I have a headlight problem on a 2004 chey calvalier. All of my lights work except low beam on drivers side. Fuses on left and right headlights are good. I've switched bulbs as well and nothing...

I would focus on the connections going to that head light for the low beam. I agree, it is not the switch, otherwise other side low beam would not be working. It is most likely bad bulb inlet( if it i separated bulbs for high and low) or it is the connection going to the low beam that operates it. Hope this helps. Don't waste your time on switch, it is not that.
