There is no reset as such, if the motor shorted when the motor brushes went there is a good chance that it blew the motor tracking or relay on the board. Sometime this is indicated by F20 or F21. Unfortunately this will be a new board. You could try to run a motor test as follows:
Hold in the start button while turning the dial one click to the left (30 easycare) wait until the display shows 888 or two indicators light up next to dial.
Release start and turn dial to 60 cotton (WITHOUT GOING THRO THE OFF).
Press start
This should start a motor test
slow turn one way, slow turn the other, pump on then up to full spin.
(some machines will show the rpm on the display).
If this does not work, you probably need to change the module aswell.
Best of luck

SOURCE: I have a Bosch Classixx

Hi,

F21 is a motor or control board fault.
This also can be caused by voltage spikes or surges...
To reset it.
Turn the appliance knob to the off or reset position, 12 o'clock.

Turn the knob to the 6 o'clock position.
Press and hold the spin button.

While holding it, turn the knob to the 7 o'clock position.
Continue holding the spin button for about 5 seconds.

Release the button.
Turn the knob to off.

When your turn it back on it should have cleared the error code

If the problem continues then check the motor...

SOURCE: where are the carbon brushes on a bosch classixx

Generally speaking, you might only expect to find carbon brushes in the motors used in some power tools. Household appliances use a different type of electric motor that does not use carbon brushes.

SOURCE: Bosch Classixx 1200 Express wont spin!!!! HELP

Make sure that all the water has drained from the washer, if it has a filter, remove and clean, it is located behind a removable plastic panel at the front of the m/c, if it still does not spin, suggest you remove motor and check the brushes for wear, this is often the reason it won't spin, but will wash o/k.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks

I have accidentally put the child lock on my washing machine but have mislaid my instruction manual. Please help.

A re-posting of a Fixya answer:

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

F21 flashing on my bosch classixx 6 1200 express

F21 is a motor fault and in some cases can also involve a module fault. It could be as simple as the brushes need replacing or the drum has been severely out of balance.

Bosch classixx 1200 express lights flashing

Bosch 1200 classixx express washing machine. Upon switching on my machine, a little while later all of the lights on the control panel were flashing except the Start button. I tried to push the buttons but there was not the usual sound made upon depression of any of the buttons. They continued to flash. I switched the power off and cleaned out the pipes at the front of the machine to eliminate any obvious problems. Please help

Bosch classixx 6 1200 express is showing a key symbol in the LED - when I switch on the washing time goes back to 0 and the alert sounds and I cant start the wash I dont know how to switch the key...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

The Key symbol means the lock has been activated some how.

On most bosch of your class this is how you work it on & off.

Here`s how to deactivate it...

Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly.

Thank you for visiting "fixya" for your washer solution inquiry.

good luck going forward.

Changing the brushes when the motor is off

Remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes, if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.
