In most cases is the screen is covered with vertical lines all the way accross the screen then the T-Con module is at fault. The t-con board is replaceable without having to replace the entire LCD panel which would usually make it cheaper than replacing the TV. The part number I come up with is 1-857-213-11. Also I have a Sony Bravia and it clicks while it is on as well. I read that forum and some people said to disconnect the cable box for 10 sec. and then some said it was the heat from the summer.. i don't know.. I just turned my tv off and then back on and it stoped. I read this is happening with all kinds of TVs....

This can indicate a problem with the high voltage circuits. Since this is a new set, it should still be under warranty. DO NOT open up the unit as that will void the warranty. Return the set or request warranty service. Note the 8 blinks when you request service as that should allow them to bring the correct replacement parts.

Unfortunately, this is a failure of the balancer board for the backlight. The unfortunate part is that the balancer is not available by itself anymore, and the whole panel must be replaced, as Sony only has the balancers attached to new panels. You can contact Sony directly to ask for assistance, and it usually helps.

That symptom may cause by the main board or t-con board, I suggest you do software up grade first.
