WELL THERE ARE MANY THINGS TO CHECK? CHECK WITH A MULTI METER THE DOOR SWITCH, THE FUSE? LOCATED IN PANEL OR CABINET BODY, THE START TIMER MOTOR, SEE PICS BY THE WAY IF THERE IS NO WASH BUT U GET A SPIN CYCLE THEN CHECK THE WATER PRESSURE SWITCH.
FL - Failed to Lock Door lock monitor switch in door lock mechanism unable to communicate to control board the door is locked.
1.Check wire connections in harness leading from machine control board to door lock mechanism. 2.Check solenoid and door lock enable switch in door lock mechanism. 3.Replace responsible component.
You can get it at a local appliance parts dealer near you or online and to replace it you will need to open the door, remove the screws that run though the hinges into the cabinet and the ones straight across on other side, pop the top of the front panel loose and take off, remove the screw at the top of each side and raise the top panel and swap it out; check this DIAGRAM PARTS LOCATION
FL code indicates that the machine failed to detect that the door was locked. Perhaps the controller became confused when the fill failed (due to well). Try unplugging the machine for 15 minutes, and then plug back in. You may get the PF (Power Fail) code, but that is normal. You should be able to start a new cycle from this code.
If the door still will not open, please post back.
Is it leveled properly? Is the door latched all the way? Is the water turned on at the valve? Unplug the unit for a few minutes and during that time, unhook all in/out valves and make sure drain hose is in proper position and down in to the drain hole far enough. Plug unit back in and try that.
I unplugged the washer for 20 minutes, plugged it back in, the same FL message appeared, so I slammed the door (as a last effort to attempt to overcome the problem of door failing to close before I would decide to call a repairperson). Following the sound slamming of the door, the washer has worked just fine through the last five loads.
