You could also try a do-it-yourself kit to unlock your phone. The kit only cost like $10 and very easy to use. Check out http://unlockmyphone123.com for details.

You can either call Sprint support to obtain cose, they may give you the code, it takes between 1 - 3 weeks to get the code fromt hem, or you can use online unlocking service where you can unlock your mobile with in hours.
I would recommend mobileunlockingcode , as their prices are excellent, fast turnaround time and best customer support, secure payments from paypal, make them top company in the industry.
Thanks

Only if the blackberry is unlocked from the origional carrier. Sounds like your phone is still locked. Contact the carrier and if you are in decent standing with the company, they will provide a sim unlock for the device.

Hydro Icon C6730 with Boost Mobile. How can I unlock?

Try a sim card from a carrier that is not for the phone. If your carrier is boost mobile then use a Verizon or sprint sim card, even a new sim card will not work if it is the carrier locked to the phone. It must be a non carrier sim card.

If I put my boost mobile sim in my new unlocked phone can i keep my service with boost and my number?

Your sim card is only "programmed" to work with your current phone and carrier. For example, if you took a windows program DVD and tried to install that windows program on Apple's OSX, it would not work. That sim card is like the DVD. The program for your phone's carrier (since Boost uses other carriers like Verizon, Sprint and AT&T) will not work and may ruin your phone or sim card. Happened to me, so I know.

How Can I Use My Boost Mobile Sim In My I776 Sprint Nextel Phone?

Yep, the 1776 is a boost phone...you can NOT put a nextel sim in a boost, but putting a boost sim in a nextel works fine.

I brought a ic902 at a auction and i have a boost mobile. the phone works ok. But when i put my sim card in it, the phone reads invalid sim, put old sim back in. what can i do to use my sim with this phone

I activate phones for Boost Mobile.

I'm sorry to tell you, but an ic902 can never be unlocked to work properly on any other system - to include the Boost system. Here's why. The ic902 is a hybrid phone. That is, it uses two different cellular systems to operate. Specifically, voice calls on the ic902 are placed over the Sprint CDMA network and Push-to-Talk (PTT) calls are transmitted over Nextel's iDEN network.

Boost Mobile calling (both, voice and PTT) uses the iDEN network from Nextel. Thus, the ic902's radio transmitter (which is CDMA) cannot make calls on the Boost ( iDEN ) system.

Moreover, if you plan to use Boost Mobile, I STRONGLY suggest that you NOT purchase a Nextel phone and have it unlocked to use for Boost.

Although Nextel and Boost phones seem the same - they are not. If you look at the model number of Nextel phones most of them end in a zero. (ie., i850, i870 etc.) where Boost Mobile Phones end with the number five. (ie., i855, i875, etc.) This is because the transmitters in the phones are set to different frequencies for different purposes (like for texting.)

If you go to eBay for example, those who sell unlocked Nextel phones to use for Boost (if they're honest) will inform potential buyers in their eBay listings that their unlocked Nextel phone will not (text, for example) on the Boost network. These unlocked Nextel phones will have limitations when used on Boost.

To prevent problems down the road, ALWAYS purchase a Boost phone to use on the Boost network.

WANT TO UNLOCK BLACKBERRY

Your BB 8830 from Sprint cannot be unlocked for use in the US.
Check with Sprint before you hit the road just in case. But you can still get it unlocked from here.
