Normally Each copy of windows is capable of booting, provided that Boot from CD is enabled in BIOS Setting of the system.

if having problem please do:-
1. Enable Boot from CD in BIOS
2. Partition, Format, Install Another lower version of Windows (XP), pl dont upgrade service pack.
3. Install Win 7 (Run --> Setup --> Upgrade)
4. Install NERO 6.0 or above
5. Create a bootable using NERO 6.0

Now you can use this this CD for repair, boot, recover or preinstallation, partition etc.

Having Problems on any steps, please feel free to call or mail me.
Thanks

Windows xp cd with sp3 installation

In BIOS change the boot order such that CD/DVD comes first. You will also need to make sure your hard drive runs in IDE mode since Windows XP doesn't support sata drives by default. FYI XP is going end of life early 2014.

Can i boot win vista cd? can i use vista cd to reformat my computer?

Yes you can format computer with vista disk and instal new windows.
Inser that vista disk into cd/dvd rom then when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 del or ALT+F2 key to enter in bios.
Then go to boot menu and set first boot device as cd /dvd rom then save settings and exit from bios.
Then it boot with windows disk. Then follow the procedure and choose installing new windows xp then select 1 partition and format it then it install windows vista on it.It will take 30 to 45 minutes to complete the installation.

I HAVE DEMO VERSION FOR ONE MONTHSOF VISTA HOME BASIC NOW MY LAPTOP NOT STARTING IT REQUIRED PRODUCT KEY

The demo version was set to expire quite some time ago... Either format the system installing a new operating system or buy a registration key for Windows Vista. If you've got it, I would install Windows XP Professional (SP3 is preferred). If you do not currently have an operating installer disk, you can download some free ones such as these:

Linux Mint
Ubuntu
Fedora

As mentioned, they are completely free and do not require you to register them. To install them you will need to have a CD (or CD/DVD) burner. Afterward download the .iso image to the computer with the CD/DVD burner. Then use a program such as ImgBurn to burn the image to the disk. Once done, stick the disk into the CD/DVD drive of the computer with the Vista installation. Then start the computer and use the boot option to boot from the CD/DVD disk (Generally a message during startup will read similar to "Press F12 for boot options." Press the key associated with the message continually (in this case, F12) to bring up the boot selection screen). Sometimes you will be asked to press any key to continue booting from the CD. As it said, press any key and you will boot from the CD.

Hopefully you will be able to resolve your problem. Just remember, installing a new operating system will erase ALL data on the hard-drive. So if you have precious files on the hard-drive, I would not recommend installing a new operating system.

Let us know how things turn out, or if you require any further assistance.

Toshiba Laptop A55-S306 shuts down with error messages

It sounds to me like a virus. Boot up from a recover cd or windows cd and reinstall freashly.

If you don't have a recovery cd, contact Toshiba for one. They go around for $40 to $50. If you can't get one, buy Windows Vista and boot up from that and reinstall.
