A dark line started appearing down the middle of this same tv set about a year after I bought it new from Best Buy. The line isn't always visiblem but when it is it's very distracting to view it. In the middle it seems wider - almost one-eighth inch wide. I am not sure what you mean by a Multi-system? But I can tell you that replacement manuals are available on line for free on their website. The Regaza is a US model and the website to locate the manual is on www.us.toshiba.com. Click on Customer Service and then tv's and LCD then scroll the model numbers listed to find yours and click on it. There is troubleshooting and chat services available in that area. Hope this helps?
I have same problem. Toshiba 42' hl196 purchased 4/07 line appeared 1 year and 9 months researched on Toshiba thread. Bad LCD screen. Repair cost more than tv-have to replace lcd screen. I didn't get the extended warranty. If still under warranty get hold of toshiba. Lot of people having same problem. Should get aclass action lawsuit started selling defective LCD screens. Defective or Bad LCD panel.
IT will be cheaper to get new TV than to get it replaced. U can check with local repair shop or look for a panel yourself at parts.com for the price of a new panel.
