My Duet washer stopped on the Spin cycle and I can't get it to start the spin cycle or any cycle. I've unplugged the washer and plugged it back in and tried to start the washer again to no avail.
Press 'end of cycle' for over 3 seconds. Perhaps you have to check your filter, maybe clogged.
You have your fault chart? Why did you change the door switch anyway, chart told you? How abt refitting the old one? Was the filter very full, clogged?
Check to see the contact harness is fitting well at the door switch. It may not be closing well, indicating to the control that the door is not shut. Try some WD40 on the door mechanism (not on door) with the mains off & open & close door a few times
F26. Possible causes/procedure.
a) Door not opened during 3 consecutive cycles.
1 Open & close the door.
2 Verify CCU operation by running diagonistic test OR any cycle.
b) Door switch open while door is locked.
1 Push the door and check if it is completely closed
2 Verify.........or run any cycle.
No connection between F26 and filter. Just asked you, for many machines are simply dumped -reason a fully clogged filter. Companies are happy, overjoyed another will be bought. Seldom tell you in the manual where the filter is. They will never manufacture one with a grinder to get rid of clips, nuts, coins, hair ....

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
This is a common issue with washer however;
your whirlpool duet washer needs a reset to resolve the control lock problem.
Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 15 seconds to reset
the control. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hi
This issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged
drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and
remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower
front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs,
you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Hope this
helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

I appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. I installed a new door switch and now instead of getting just error code F-26 I now get F-22 and F-26. Both errors are related to the door switch. I'm stumped at this point.
Thank you, I will give the WD40 a try. I changed out the lock switch due to the F26 error. After putting the new lock switch on I got three errors: F22, F26, and F28. I called Whirlpool and they sent me a new CCU. After changing that out I can get the tub to fill with water but the drum never spins. With the new door switch and the new CCU I don't get any error codes but when the diagnostics are done the "Rinse/Spin" light flashed continuously.
I tried to adjust the door latch on the door itself to see if that made any difference. It didn't.
Thank you for the WD40 suggestion.
I have the same F26 error-- won't spin. Repairman tried replacing door lock switch and the CCU but no help. I am intrigued by the FILTER CLOGGED issue. Yes, my filter was clogged with $2.54 in change plus a hairband (very full!). I had cleaned out the filter just prior to the unsuccessful service. What is the connection between clooged filter and F26?
My turned out to be the motor control unit (MCU). I replaced it and, viola, the washer is working. I replaced the door switch, then the pressure switch, then the CCU then Whirlpool techline thought it must be a stuck button on the front touch panel. I replaced it and the washer still did not work. I finally replaced the MCU yesterday and my washer is now working. Fortunately we bought the extended warranty on this. I strongly recommend buying the extended warranty for any front loader. It will lesson the aggravation because you won't be out of pocket for the parts and service.
