No instructions for how to feed line onto Penn fishing reel 500L

The Line Could Be On Backwards. Should Go on Spool Clockwise.

If anyone would have one it would be their website but I didn't see a file on line for one

Clean and grease the reel. Make sure all washers that belong on inside are installed properly

Your drag is either worn or it is assembled improperly.

When I need parts or service, I call penn directly. They are the best reels out there as far as I'm concerned. And most of them are made in USA and backed by Penn.

It is the only reel that I care to fish with

ok one is for your drag the other is reeling 3rd one are the brakes 4th one is your clicker and the last one is your spreader .

On the front of the spool there is a device to turn to set the drag. Torn it tighter and tighten it until slightly below the breaking point of your fishing line. It isn't a critical adjustment, it just keeps your line from breaking while trying to land a fish.
