HP Plasma TV on/off power clicks, no picture or sound

I have a 52'' HP Plasma TV model HP PL 5060N that I am having problems with. The picture started to distort, then I heard a poping noise the picture went out but there was still sound. Later, the sound went out also. Now the power button keeps clicking on and off continuously. The TV is about two years old, warrenty expired. Any idea what is wrong? Also does anyone know where you can order parts for this television?

The clicking sound is the relay switch on the power board, it could be the power board or the logic board

SOURCE: 42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Our LG 50" plasma tv screen went black after a popping noise but still had sound, after great diliberations decided to take the back off and have a peek!
We unplugged the tv and tested the fuses (there were three we could see) one had blown, the one on the left as you look at the back of the tv it also has one above it. We wrote the code/seriel number down and took the fuse to the electrical wholesalers Maplin and bought a pack of 10 fuses for £1.29 replaced the fuse in the tv and everything now fine!!!!!!
Hope this might be of use to anyone whose lost the picture after a loud popping/snacking noise but still has sound.

I have a 55 in HP TV and has power, when i press the on button the light turns blue but no picture THIS IS A FLAT SCREEN TV 55 IN.

NO model TV stated at all just TV (HP)
HP LD5511 55"(this?) or some old plasma TV? what model is it , thanks.
on the rear is a tag that tag shows the model
first is age, how old is it and models tell me that.
the early LCD TV have back lamp that go out.
is sound dead, too? if yes, the TV has a bad internal power supply.
if sounds good but screen is dead, (use a flashlight pointed at the screen see video now (weak sure) but if seen that tells you the back lamps are burned out. (did TV screen run hot for many years )
yes, those are the ones that burn out.

here is the model prefix letter decode rules on HP TV.
  • PE or PL = Plasma TV
  • LC = LCD TV
  • LT = Professional Flat Panel LCD TVs
  • SL = MediaSmart LCD TV
  • MD or ID = Rear Projection Microdisplay TV
as you can see TV means Little. lacking full model numbers.

I've replaced every board on the samsung plasma and still clicks

What do you mean by clicks? Plasma televisions are hot cathode ray, there is thermal expansion that takes place due to heat.

My Samsung 52" plasma TV will shut off while watching TV. It will do it repeatedly and we have to turn it back on. Is it overheating and shuts down? How can this be fixed?

52" plasma tv - turns on - and I hear something reset inside

i hear a clicking noise- the clicking noise is most likely you ballast trying to power the lamp, but failing. this may indicate a defective ballast if you have recenty purchased a new lamp.I recomend you have your lamp tested to help narrow down the cause of the defect. It's highly unlikely for a new lamp to be dead on arrival

Sony FWD50PX2/S 50 in. Plasma Television power problem

It does sound like a power supply problem but that can be misleading because a problem somewhere else in the TV can be "holding down" the power supply. This can usually be determined by using some isolation techniques.
