Thanks for your response and so how do i go about "changing the gain"?

  • Anonymous May 14, 2013

right click on volume click playback devices right click on the headphones icon(or speaker if it is plugged in there) and click properties now scroll over to the levels and adjust volume there also if those headphones have a seperate volume control try adjusting that sometimes if you have multiple volume controls turned up to high you will get that static sound try 85% on all settings then adjust them up and down from the system sound. also make sure that they are all the way plugged in as this can cause the same issue. otherwise they are probably faulty if new or blown. hope this helps

You might check to make sure that your gain isnt to high many times this can negatively effect your sound quality

SOURCE: RS120 Can still hear TV when headphones are on

Ok.. first.. the simple thing is to go into your television menu and turn the television speaker OFF.
Then exit the menu and turn the volume up.. try your headphones now.

Next.. check the back of the TV for a FIXED AUDIO OUT.. plut your headphones into these outputs.. if you have these.. you can simply turn the set down.. and use the volume control on the headphones.

SOURCE: No sound coming out of the left speaker

It sounds like you have a break in your cord right where it joins the plug. You will either have to replace the plug or buy new headphones.

SOURCE: RCA wireless headphones

Hey, my rca whp141 is incredibly quiet. Go ahead and turn the volume up on the TV.
If that doesn't work make sure

  • The headphones and headset are on the same channel (like 1).
  • the transmitter is on and working (Power: GREEN LIGHT)
  • the headset is on and working (GREEN LIGHT)
  • the headset is receiving a signal (St: GREEN LIGHT).
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Headphones w/ built-in microphone. Can both work with one jack?

the simple answer is No. The long answer is your laptop/computers headphone output and mic input are completely separate on the sound card. Meaning there are no tie to the audio in on the heaphone lines, and vise versa on the mic/line in. Sorry to disappoint.

SOURCE: My Sennheiser RS 110 headphones won't work. I

First thing is you need to have a signal going to the headphones for them to work.

If you are getting a signal the green light should be lit.

If only the red lamp is lit the headphones are not getting a signal.

If hooked into a television you should have them plugged into a Fixed Output not variable output..

If you only have a variable output then you must turn the speakers off on the television and then turn the volume up on the TV in order to send a signal to the headphones.

If you are using a amplifier make sure you are using the correct output. Tape Monitors generally will not work as this output is not amplified.

Lastly try using an rca to headphone adapter and plug them into a headphone jack.

Well the good news is, it's not your ipod.. It's the wiring inside of the headphones. I suggest that you either return them for a new pair, or buy a new pair.

No green On/Off light. Charge light is red. I hear only static.

Two things.. Check the batteries..
Also.. since these headphones have to have a signal sent to them to activate transmission (green light simply indicates they are receiving a signal) it can take a few moments after the signal begins to activate them.
I would hazard a guess that when you unplug the cables and then plug them back in.. the feedback that generates activates the base much the same as a regular audio signal would
Finally.. make sure the source is a fixed output.. if not.. and its variable..you will have to increase the output or volume to activate the base..

Good luck!

No sound, only static

Hi I had the same problem and just emailed Sennheiser.Go to the menu on your TV and change the variable audio output to fixed. I use the headphones through the home theatre so the volume must be max on the home theatre and then you can adjust your headphone volume. It absolutely worked and I don't get anywhere near the static noise when I go to another room with the headphones on that I got previously. Also be sure your audio cable is plugged into the fixed audio output socket. I did not have to do anything with that.
