Sounds like you have blown out the cone on the speaker. Have you removed the covering to see if the speaker in that earphone is intact?

Just recieved a pair of qc15's after the first use the right ear cup will crackle intermittantly, building up then dropping out, it does it randomly

It's the EQ of your ipod or itunes that is tripping them up. Apparently there is a 'perfect' EQ to run them on but I'm not familiar with it. Running them with the EQ 'flat' should fix the problem. Hope this helps...

Won't turn on after swapping battery for a new one, it had crackling in both earcups but now it's completely dead.

It sounds like a battery problem.
Check to see if the battery is installed correctly.
Take it out and put it in again, and see if it works.
Try a another battery that you know is good.
If you have any way of testing the battery do it.

If the crackling was happening before you changed the battery you may have another problem, otherwise a sick battery is more probable than the earphones dying at exactly that time.

Crackling sound

Have you tried some headphones directly into the headphones socket? Does the sound still crackle? Usually 'crackle' is associated with dodgy leads and you will be able to hear the lead responding to movement by crackling more, a hissy sound often means that there is a fault with the socket and sometimes removing and reconnecting the jack into the socket a few times will help this. If it sounds like hiss with little pops it's usually electrical interference and could mean a bad earthing in the circuit somewhere

I have had the bose in-ear headphones for a year and they were great at first and then all of a sudden the left earpiece stops working. If I move the part that connects the headphones to the ipod then it...

If your headphones are in warranty (under a year old) Bose will repair or more likely replace them with a new pair. I am now on my forth pair or Bose in-ear headphones and experienced the same problem with an ear piece stop working. I have to say Bose customer service has been fantastic and has replaced each pair. Every new pair is then covered by a new full years warranty. Unfortunately my fourth pair has just gone wrong with the same connector problem. Bose again have said they will replace as they are in warranty. I have been told if they are out of warranty they will offer a new pair at a discount price of £50 instead of £80. However i think that if my new pair go wrong out of warranty i will have no option but to look at alternatives.A Pair of headphones that cost £80 should last more than a year!!!

My ipod crackles and my hearing seems to be getting damaged

Id say you should go see a doctor. But for now id say that you should do your best to not listen to it for a while as it can affect hearing. try to use full on speakers if you can. On you tube there are a few Sub-Woofer sound tests you can do. Try playing one (low volume) and repeat. (not a song one)

http://www.teenbuzz.org/ also to hear which frequencies are out of range to you click here. ( click the second icon on the list further down the page)

But yeah go see a doctor. Perhaps some ear drops.

Hello Rachel, I use my QC3 for 2.5 years Mon-Fri for 3 hours a day. I have the same problem when battery is weak and/or it is cold outside. The cracking nose stops for me if battery fully charged. This is known problem andBose put it in the manual.
