The fuse is located inside on the power supply board.

How to fix my flat screen t.v.?

Check all the AC input connections. As the power board is new, the TV should show standby light at least, when you switch it ON.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Check whether there is a line fuse inserted at AC path. Check whether there is a plug-fuse included inside the power plug.

Due to a power surge, my Sharp AR-M277 won't turn

There is a 20A fuse on the AC power board it is most likely blown. Follow the power cable to the board the big white ceramic fuse is the main, check continuity with meter and replace.

No power due to thunderstorm, it's off but connected to the power source..

It can be affected due to current surge on the line, the most probable affected area is the power section of your TV. Some incidence are only fuse blown out where you can replace the fuse with a new one just be sure that the rating is the same. But others are major components like MOSFET, Thyristor, Varistor which are usually sensitive on current surge.

We didnt have a surge protector on our tv we purchased from home shopping net. and lihtning came in the line and i guess hit our tv can it be fixed or is it worth fixing price wise i hate to throw it away...

Look at the power supply module, most of them will have a surge protection devices (called MOV, same as used in common surge power strip but cannot handle big surge that power strip can handle) installed to protect minor surge, it should blow the fuse. Once MOV blown, it will more likely stay short circuit, if you put the new fuse in it will blow the fuse right away. You need to see if the MOVs blew up any sign of blown up components.

I have a Hitachi, 42 in. plasma ultravision and this morning I could not turn the tv on. No power.

check the branch circuit of your convenience outlet..the circuit breaker may have tripped..try to connect other appliance to the outlet where your TV is connected..this is to ensure there's power in it..if you are certain then that there's indeed power from the outlet you are sure that the TV is not working..check TV fuse and replace if blown..check resistance between the plug terminals after fuse replacement..if resistance is low, change voltage dependent resistor (VDR) with same value..it is a disk type resistor that looks like a big ceramic capacitor located just after the fuse..either blue, black or red.blown fuse may be due to power surge during the night..

Plasma tv screen does not work, sound does after power failure

I would suspect it has blown a fuse, more than likely on the Y-sustain board due to the power failure causing a surge. Possibly just replcing the fuse may rectify things but if it were to blow straight then the power failure has caused some component damage & would need to be investigated further by a repair engineer.
