There is a red light next to the manual power button that flashes 12 times. I cannot turn the TV on manually or with a remote. I've pulled the power cord out for a few minutes, plugged it back in and encoutered the same problems.
Any suggestions?
This problem happens when you connect a DVI-HDMI input to the back of the set. It can happen other ways too though. Press and hold your power button, which will reset the unit to it's factory defaults, and should return it to normal use.

when i was viewing the tv it was fine and then all of a sudden, no picture.
I have tried to hold down the power button on the remote but to no avail. Did you find any solution to this problem, big worry!
My Panasonic Viera does the exact same thing. I always have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to work. This is so frustrating.
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM BUT, I HOOKED UP A PS3 TO MY PANASONIC HDMI AND THEN HAD TO RESET MY PS3 TO PUT IT BACK ON MY REGULAR TV AND HELD THE PS3 BUTTON DOWN FOR 6 SECONDS TO RESET IT THEN MY HDMI TV DIDN'T WORK AND THE RED POWER BUTTON DOES THE SAME THING AND I TRIED TO HOLD THAT BUTTON DOWN TO RESET IT BUT IT DID NOT WORK.
