To get words of dialogue off a TV, you have a few options:
Check the TV settings: Some televisions have built-in closed captioning options that allow you to display the dialogue as text on the screen. Look for the "CC" or "Caption" button on your TV remote control. Pressing this button should cycle through different captioning options, including turning it off, enabling standard captions, or enabling captions specifically for dialogue.
Use the TV menu: Access your TV's menu settings by pressing the "Menu" button on your remote control. Navigate to the "Settings" or "Preferences" section and look for the "Caption" or "Subtitles" settings. You may find options to enable or disable captions, adjust caption styles, or choose captioning presets. Explore these settings to see if there's an option to display dialogue as text.
External Closed Captioning Device: If your TV doesn't have built-in closed captioning features or if you prefer more advanced captioning options, you can consider using an external closed captioning device. These devices connect to your TV and provide enhanced closed captioning functionality, including the ability to customize the display of dialogue. Search online or consult with an electronics retailer for external closed captioning devices compatible with your TV.
Streaming Services: If you're watching content from a streaming service, such as Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, they often have their own closed captioning options. Look for the closed captioning settings within the streaming service's interface. You can usually enable or disable captions, and in some cases, customize the captioning style or size.
Remember that the availability and functionality of closed captioning options may vary depending on your TV model, so consult your TV's user manual or contact the manufacturer's support if you need further assistance.
This TV does not support Closed Captioning, However, you may be able to enable it from your cable box if you have one.
To do that you may need to contact your cable provider. Most of the times its a simple option in the settings. Alot of times CC comes pre-enabled on the cable box and all you need to do is press the CC or Closed Caption Button on the remote.

If it was made after 1993 and is larger than 13 inches, it has a closed captioning system built into it. Otherwise, you may need to purchase a separate closed caption system, which are available at a number of online outlets.
2)Turn on your TV and access the menu for closed captioning. The precise location of the menu varies by television set. Most are accessible by pressing the "Audio" or "Set Up" menu on your remote, then scrolling down to the "CC" or "Closed Captioning" option. Check your owner's manual for precise instructions.

Turn on your TV's closed captioning and you should see the captioning like you do on a television program. Thank you.
Are you talking computer or TV?
Closed caption on a TV is when the volume is muted and it prints the speech in a box on the screen. You have to turn it on in the menu.
I had the same issue... here's what I did. If power off your cable box, then press the menu button, there's a selection to enable or disable Closed Captioning. This works for both HD series Motorola boxes Comcast offers, at least in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Hope this helps!

You need to turn on closed captions through the menu of your PVR. To have it on all the time, turn the box off, press menu on the front of the box, and scroll down to captions.
This should fix the problem
If you have the Suddenlink remote and the DVR box you can turn captions on or off by accessing a technical menu. To do this, press POWER and Menu buttons together (menu 2 times) to bring up a special menu. Select Closed Captions. On the popup menu select closed captions and using Select button change to OFF or ON as you wish. The trick is to get the menu to come up. Timing of pressing the two buttons is frustrating and it may take a few times befotre you get the special menu.
