Hey everyone, I have a question. Upon dropping off my old 90's era TV at the city dump, I had the incredible fortune of finding a Toshiba 40RF350U 40 in. LCD TV. It was manufactured in 2007. Anyway, for being found at a dump, it works incredibly. I hooked up my PS3 to the HDMI port, and it works like I imagine it would when whoever bought this TV first unboxed it and turned it on. Except for one problem. There is a thin vertical line of pixels running down the left side of the screen, about 7.5 inches from the left edge. On HDMI, it's two black lines, with a pixel's between one and the other. On 480i, it's a single light blue line. I haven't tried watching TV on it. My question is, is there a way to get rid of the lines? Or are they there for good? And if so, if I decided that I wanted to try and sell this TV so I could get a similar, maybe more recent one without the lines, do you think I could sell it? For around how much? Thank you all for your help.

The only logical solution for the problems people are having for the toshiba regza's tv's is to get into a class action law suite..., they contiue to sell tv's with defective parts and refuse to help the customer that spent large cash to find out they last if your lucky 2.5 years, they are junk and anyone with one will soon find out./.......

You can try reseating the ribbon cable between the T-CON and the LCD panel, be real careful, very delicate cables.
