The way your voice sounds at the other end is relatively a characteristic of the microphone. However, you can devise a simple method to compensate for any excess in sound quality. When you have too much treble and would like to tone it down a little, you can put a layer kleenex infront of the mic. Add more layers until your voice sounds okay to you. Alternatively, look for small perforation holes in the front of the mic cover and plug some of them with glue or small pieces of scotch tapes. Good luck. es

Sound does not sound right Settings for Sharp Aquos LCD TV Sound Menu please Sound Mode - Should this be set to Personal, Music or Speech Equalizers (5) - Suggested plus or minus...

Re Sharp LCD TV sound -

Sound mode:
"Personal" is your own user-defined setting to your own taste.
Others are presets for quick selection.
Basically it's just a Graphic Equalizer as seen on Hi-Fi's.
Leftmost slider is for low frequency Bass and rightmost is high frequency Treble.
Boost is up, or higher number.
The personal user settings depend on your speakers, room, your preference.
I personally prefer slightly boosting bass and treble for mellowness and clarity. Mid can also be slightly boosted for clearer voice etc. Like a 'W'.
Boosting mids too much can cause a 'boxy' sound.

Virtual "surround" sound:
This technology creates a wider stereo effect, simulating 3D sound depth by delaying some sounds and feeding to opposite channel.
Ear/brain trickery. Some audio suits this, other not. Your choice.

Digital Audio:
Probably for a fibre-optic port.
Unless your'e using a fibre-optic cable to a compatible digital device, try off.

PCM=Pulse Code Modulation:
AVL=Analog Voltage Level:
I 'think' this refers to matching with the audio source type as in playing DVD's.

I have a Behringer Mic C-1U and its not powering up!

How to Operate a Behringer C-1U

The Behringer C-1U is a USB condenser mic for recording individual instruments. A condenser microphone is a mic that uses vibrations produced by sound to change the distance of internal plates that produce signal. Condenser mics typically require an extra change, known as phantom power, to operate. Since the C-1U is USB powered, phantom power is not needed. The Behringer C-1U has a frequency response that favors sounds around the 10KHz range. This heightens the clarity of recorded signals due to the microphone's treble boost.

Things You'll Need:

* Computer with USB 2.0 port
* USB cable
* Recording software

Instructions

Turn on the computer. When the operating system loads, connect the microphone.

Install any necessary drivers for the C-1U. This will happen automatically when the device is connected.

Select the Behringer C-1U as an input source in any desired audio software. In Windows, click the "Volume" icon in the task bar to open the mixer. Select the C-1U as the primary input. On Macs, use the "Audio/MIDI Setup" in the "System Preferences" menu to select the C-1U as the primary input

Note: make sure you activate the phantom power on the mic. That's the only way to power up the microphone.

Have a nice day.

I want to know the best setting of microfone system in concert hall for Mridangam., like bass,treble,etc

The drum has usable frequencies and harmonics out to at least 3KHz so plan on 5KHz.

I would use a Shure SM57 and you MIGHT find it necessary to have one at each end since this is a two headed drum. position the mics pointing at the ends or slightly angled but clear of the hands. If you put them off to the side you may not get quite the sound you want. Set the EQ controls to pass all low frequencies and the mid range up to 5 KHz as flat and reduce the highs above 5KHz to avoid some of the brushing noise of the hands.

Note that the room acoustics and your sound system may play a GREAT part in how it sounds.

Feedback

That is a great mic. It has a lot to do with the room your in and acoustics of it. If you are too close to your PA or monitor, it will also feedback. Lowering treble and reverb will also help.
