The registration code is the code that can only be used once. It is normally located on the back of the manual or in the manual.

The problem with your sidekick 2008 screen is the backlight is burned out. this can happen if dropped or if it gets wet.

The only way to fix it is to replace the screen. It is fairly easy to do and new ones run about 65 dollars on ebay.
