Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
Common Symptoms include.... •Screen looks 3D •Colors don't line up •One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu. •Screen is bowed or warped. •TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.

the tv automaticly determines if it should go to 3D mode as long as the DVD player or say like PS3 or PS4 is connected to HDMI (yes those two game consoles will support HD Blueray 3D and DVD 3D movies) if the TV isnt displaying 3D look into the video settings of your TV to enable that ability also your TV will come with 3D glasses if the TV supports 3D
You can tell if you're 3D glasses are working if you can see if the images in the movie or the game that you're playing pop-up in and out and you can see a depth and float as you watch.
If you have a 3D enabled PC, you can test it yourself by running a sample stereoscopic 3D test application here. You could also find additional information here.
Unfortunately, there is no way you can do this without making some adjustments to either the movie clip or to your TV. These adjustments could eventually end up in making the 3D movie more or less a normal HD movie. The best way is to buy a 3D TV and glasses. This would help you watch the movie in 3D.
Common problems with rear screen projections. Either you need to refocus the alignment, or you need to have the Convergence IC's replaced. In your owners manual, it should tell you how to refocus the alignment.
sounds like the sensors are out of focus and your red sensor isnt turning on. look in the back of the tv for a master reset button or in your menu screen some sort of "Flash focus" or "convergence". They will realign the 3 sensors.
This is a common problem that would require 2 Convergence output IC's to fix . The part # STK392-560 replace with STK 392-570. a repair shop would charge between $200-$300 (parts cost $60.00)
