I am having the same problem with the 8825...time out error on screen, then goes blank and answering machine won't pick up. Siemen's offers no troubleshooting advice on the "Time out error"...how do you fix this?

Gigaset 8825 answers phone but does not record message

Some Gigaset phones have an option to have the answering machine play an outgoing message only without taking a message. You should check your settings and make sure you don't have yours set up this way. This could also happen if the memory for the answering machine is full so that it cannot record any more messages.

Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) light stays on since VoIP

There maybe different MWI options available in the phone's set up menu on the base unit. If so, see if the different options perform differently. Your phones are probably set to "FSK" (frequency shift keying) for MWI but IIRC, U-Verse uses the "Stutter" option. Also, in addition to talking to the installer, call ATT tech support. If the problem is in the signalling they may now have programming options on their end to resolve it.

I have a gigaset 8825. I have a "distinctive ring" problem

Hello,

I have the same phone system, and *think* you may be able to fix the problem by adjusting the amount of rings before answer on each unit. This assumes there is an auto answer system engaged. Hope that helps some.

This is the time that love cannot help with. Buy yourself a new home phone where the massages will pile up. erase all massages on your mobile phone. It is time to buy a cell phone which will record all masseges that you've received.
