On my Servis M0330W 50/50 upright fridge/freezer, above the fridge door at the top front, there is 3 light panels, 1st left is a green to indicate power (I believe), middle is a red triangle (which is flashing), on left is a clear panel with a snow flake beside it, but no light visable, the unit is intermitantly running (although at this time I can't say if either unit is getting cold), any ideas as to the problem please

1. Make sure that the fanmotor is working and you have good airflow through the cabinet, you will have to press the lever switch which is closed when the door closes or the fan will not come on.

2. If the fanmotor is working fine, I would need to know if there is any cooling happening in either the freezer or the fridge side.

3. Check that the compressor (black dome object at rear of unit) is actually running.

4. If compressor is running, feel if the thin tube coming out of the comp is hot. Following it you will see it enter the cabinet and then return to a small cylindrical copper thing which is called a drier, the drier should be slightly warm. It then goes into a very thin capilliary tube. This should feel normal temp, no cold feeling.

5. If your compressor is running and you are not getting cooling, there is very likely an intermittent blockage in the refrigeration system which can lead to compressor failure due to high head pressure. This would mean getting a repair guy to cut the tubes and test the compressor for pumping performance. The compressor is more than likely ok and he would need to flush the system with a solution to disolve the blockage. and then put it all together again. good luck and hope you come right 1.
