LG WM0642HW front load washer gives an error during spin cycle and stops. A message comes up "LE". We had a service man look at it and said we were using too much soap and showed us how to drain the tub. He said too much suds prevented proper draining.
The error comes up too often even when using little soap or no soap. This last time I looked at the drum when the spin indicator was on and the tub was not spinning. Evventually the "LE" message came on. I opened the door and the tub had a lot of water.
I drain the tub as the service man had recommended and tried again with the same result. There has to be something wrong and it is not a soap problem.
I have this problem and you can find the solution on this same web page by searching. It is likely the Hall Sensor that needs to be replaced (see proflevy posting on Jul 16, 2008). According to the postings, it is from soap build up on the sensor and replacing it costs $18 for the part and is easy (many responses on this). I am waiting for the part and will try to fix mine soon.
