Will a pencil or pen push through the hole? if so I would remove the top, and clean the opposite side of the drum. Access usually by finding springs under the top about 3 to 4 in. from the outside edge and push in with a screwdriver to release the top. Tip up top to access the drum. I assume that the drum will not spin water out?
Perhaps the outer tub is full of water? If so you may have a pump or hose blockage problem.
Yep!
If your washer is both hot and cold fill turn one of them off overnight. You will then tell which water inlet control valve is not closing correctly and therefore which one needs replacing ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,

you can buy/replace the valve, no problem, what is happening is the armature in the valve is lifting causing the water to enter the machine, if you take valve apart you should see the rubber plunger is jammed in the open position, you can trim to fit
if you remove the front cover there is a drain plug that holds change and lint paperclips etc, it fills up and gets plugged and wont go throught the drainig pump. if you find this and clean it out you will be good for another 6 months...its important to check pockets before washing
yes the water vale is defective it has goten a little piece of sand of something in it and it dont take much replace the valve and the problem will be gone good luck
There are 2 possible problems here.
1. If your waste pipe is connect under the sink and uses the sinks waste as a drain it could be that water from the sink (or dishwasher if also fitted) is entering the machine via the waste. This can be cured by ensuring that the washing machine waste hose is hooked up higher than the connection under the sink.
2. It could be that the washing machine inlet valve need replacing. After time, or if bits of dirt enter them they can let water seep through.
This is easily identified by turning off the water supply where the hoses are connected to. If the machine fills up then you know it is entering via the waste hose - if it doesn't then you know its one of the valves.
If it is a valve they are available from us at www.ransomspares.co.uk
