I just purchased a new LCD tv and I am not entirely happy with the picture that i am getting. I was wondering what would be the best way to hook up the following components. Motorola DCH70 cable box - only the white/red, left/right audio and yellow video cables, Samsung model #LN32A33 LCD TV - back panel has ALL modern input/outputs, Sony dvd player #DVPNS57P - blue, green and red component video as well as red/white with yellow and an orange digital out?, Samsung dvd/vcr combo #DVDV8500 - blue, green, red, 2 sets red, white, yellow, and a black audio out... All components have coax in and out. i can supply model numbers and more if needed.
Ive got 3 samsung tv's (lcd, plasma, DLP) and I use HDMI cables on all of them. Its the only way to get the full potential out of the tv. When you use the red/white/yellow RCA cables the signal is anolog aka "old technology". Component cables are good but HDMI is the best. HDMI is a digital signal and thats what all the components that go with the tv should be run on. If your dvd player does not have an HDMI output I would suggest getting one that has that output. As for the cable box most require you to upgrade to digital cable in order to get one with an HDMI output. If you dont want to spend the money on new components and run what you have now the picture will stay mediocre at best. Good luck hope this helped

I'm sure Comcast will be more then happy to direct you on phone step by step on how to do this... I'm sure you pay them every month.. don't you. Best way I'd hook up is through the 5 RCA jacks monster cable. 3 for picture... green red and blue. then the 2 red and white for sound. match colors cable box TV. if asking to connect direct cable to box.. your tv will pick up either some or nothing. you still need the Comcast cable box.
Hi, I don't know the relationship that Cosco has with their customers however the best way to get the CORRECT model number is directly off of the back of the TV. The model number you have is not complete. It should have something like a "KVR" or at least something beginning with a K. Hope this helps, Best Regards, Mark
The T-CON (Timing Control) board on the panel is/has failed. If it is available, it can be replaced. If not, the entire panel will need to be replaced to correct the TV.
You can use either component (Red/Green/Blue video and red/white audio) or HDMI cables to connect the Comcast HD box to your TV. Most times you can get these cables for free at the Comcast front counter.
Defective cabling or bad processor preamp on LCD unit. Could also be a bad buffer/driver on the DVD outputs as this feature is not used on composite hookups...accordianman
The DVI input on this set is meant for picture only.. ex. to display computer picture.
if you want audio with your picture. you must connect to either inputs YCBCr or YPbPr which both of those inputs has audio inputs.
I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com

I contacted Logitech support (email) and detailed my problem. After 4-5 disappointing back-and-forths (Logitech claiming their limited warranty didn't cover "damages", I claimed weak design that is/should be covered) I thought I was getting nowhere. But I kept on 'em, and was then asked to send a picture of the remote. To my surprise they replied: "Based on the image we have decided to replace the remote."
If you're still under warranty and think it covers your problem, keep on 'em and don't give up.
