See if ur both devices ur laptop and ur camera has firewire 1394 port it is like mini usb port but check out the pins is it 4 pins normally it is 4 pins it is called firewire cable then u can connect directly ur camera to laptop and capture thru firewire port if u dont hv firewire port in laptop or camera let me know we can work on other ways after connection contact me for further instructions of cap video on pc
