Are you sure is is a 'PC 10'? I can't find that model. All the ones I have used were battery operated desktop use or hand held. Is this a cable that connect the label maker to a PC, so you design on the computer and print to the Dymo? If that is the case, It _should_ be a standard printer lead.

I've heard there is special software needed to do the USB to parallel conversion. We have a customer using a LJ 1000 with this hook up and there is supposed to be a driver/conversion software that handles the issue. Here is a good discussion that may have some solutions for you.
It can be done tested by Thoo personally 6L printer prints well on vista too The printer end should be connected to 25 pin parallel cable, converted to the USB on the notebook end of the wiring To solve your printing problems locate vista driver, since i have tested vista works fine on HP 6L printers make sure you select the correct O/S and assign in to the USB virtual port 05 http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=14974&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodClassId=-1&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=25476 After installing my vista can print perfectly well on test printout Advise from http://www.bebo.com/andythoo Technical support specialist: Thoo Wai Kiat

The only problem was that there was no serial port on the laptop, now I have a new cable with USB ans serial output and the software works very well !!

If you previously were using a parallel connection for the G85 you will need a USB cable.
If your laptop is running Vista the G85 will work as a printer, I do not think there is a scanner driver for Vista for the G85. The G85 print driver is built into VIsta, you only need to turn on the printer and install the USB to have the printer automatically installed.
Use any printer parallel 25pin convertor to USB cable and connect it to pc or notebook Connect both ends from pc to 6L printer Go to website to choose the correct O/S driver for installation http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=14974&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodClassId=-1&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=25476 Use virtual USB port005 for printer 6L Bi-directional option can be ticked Click apply and ok Unplug and replug the USB cable Try printing a test page,
I have tried it, the vista download drivers works on vista, no problems in printing at all, advise from http://www.bebo.com/andythoo
