Hello,
i just moved my washer to clean behind and install new hoses. i tilted washer forward and back for cleaning and now during a spin cycle it vibrates more than it did before. After cleaning we ran a small load and during the spin cycle it was vibrating excessively so we stoppped it and rearranged the clothes and it helped but it is still vibrating more than it was before cleaning. any ideas?
excessive vibration when spinning. Machine is level
Chck to see that all (6) suspension springs are still attached. Check the plastic snubber ring below the mechanism and above the base plate for cracks or contamination.

If this is a newly installed washing machine have you taken out the four big bolts on the back of the machine? It holds the drum to prevent it from moving during transportation when it was delivered. if machine runs during fast spin it will make the machine vibrate heavily causing it to move
To fix this problem you will need to replace the damper pads, this will require several hours of your time, you can read several articles on how to complete this repair yourself at the link below, let me know,
Your washer has self adjusting rear legs . Tilt the machine foreward and look at the back legs . If one is stuck in , use a screwdrive and pry it out till both legs are in the out position . Set washer back down slowly and the rear legs will automatically adjust .
It sounds like you had a heavy load of clothes causing it to become off balanced. there are leveling feet at the front, and a self adjusting level BAR at the back. you can readjust the back by simply tilting the dryer to the front and allowing the back to fall back down in a controlled manner. this will re- level the back bar. the front level legs can be raised or lowered to match you conditions. another issue could be that the suspension springs have broken and usually when one goes they will all go or become stretched beyond repair. part number for the springs are 21001598. hope this helps
Try this for re-setting the balancing mechanism:
With the washer empty, tip tip it forward so that it is just sitting on the front feet. Hold it there for a few seconds, then gently lower the back down. (Often there is a mechanism in the back feet that automatically levels it for you--if this doesn't work, check that the back feet are not damaged.)
You shd check the front legs - they shd be a maximum screwed up, that is the machine shd be tilting forwards. Then you adjust acccording to your floor level. The machine should not shake a bit when off, & you try to shake it with both your hands.
A little vibration is normal when the spin starts. Don't forget to rate me nice............
IF THE FLOOR IS NOT ABSOLUTELY STABLE, IT WILL MAGNIFY A SMALL VIBRATION INTO A LARGE ONE. PUT SOMETHING ON THE DRYER IF IT SETS NEXT TO THE WASHER, AND TURN ON THE WASHER INTO SPIN. IF THE ITEM ON THE DRYER SHAKES, THE FLOOR IS MOVING.
IF THE WASHER IS ON CARPET, REMOVE THE CARPET OR CUT HOLES IN IT WHERE THE FEET ARE SO IT IS NOT SETTING ON THE CARPET. THE CARPET AND PAD WILL BE TOO SOFT FOR THE WASHER TO SET STABLE.
ALSO, PICK UP ON THE REAR OF THE WASHER TO RESET THE AUTO LEVELING REAR LEGS. YOU SHOULD HEAR THEM MOVE AND RESET WHEN YOU SET THE WASHER BACK DOWN.
