Ice and water stopped dispensing

Just because you get water from the dispenser does not mean you should also get ice made in the ice maker. Fact is there are two side to the water control valve. One for the ice maker and the other for the water dispenser. Is there ice remaining inside the ice maker slots? If not then pour water into the tray until full and if after the water freezes it drops the ice into the ice bin this will indicate a defective=> WR57X10032 Water Inlet Valve If nothing happens and the ice maker tray are full of ice this will indicate a defective=> WR30X10093 Ice Maker Assembly The ice maker is cannot be rebuilt on this model. There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze

The water dispensing valve may not be functioning, if the valve buzzes or hums when the water dispenser is pressed the valve may be mechanically deficient, if there is no sound whatsoever the switch for the dispenser,the dispensing valve coil or its electrical connections may have failed.

Did you ever get a solution? Ours just did the same thing. One day working, then just stopped making ice. Water is on and working fine.

If there is a reset button on your ice maker try pushing it. Many ice makers have two holes for reset. A general rule of thumb is if the ice maker fingers are stopped in a slightly vertical position then your ice maker unit is working. If the fingers are stopped anywhere else then it needs some sort of attention or replaced. Make sure there is water, or ice in the ice maker tray, if not then the problem is with water supply.

check to see if you have a leak either on the inside or the outside of the freezer door.

check your icemaker line and see if anything is freezing up.

from the sounds of it, something is stopping the water flow into the icemaker.

The ice maker has stopped working. The red led light blinks when the freezer door is opened. Any thoughts?

sounds like the water coming into the icemaker is spilling over or leaking into the ice despenser bucket.... check for ice build up or plugging of water chut into ice maker
