SOURCE: my vizio vx32l will not turn on. vizio logo will

The main board has failed. Replace the main board will fix the problem.

By the way, where did you buy the TV? If you have bought it from Costco then try to give them a call to see if it still under warranty.

Hope this will help.

SOURCE: VIZIO 52" LCD is on but....no display

If this is indeed an LCD and not a plasma, then you need to replace the LVDS (LCD controller) board.

SOURCE: Vizio VX32L The screen goes white,no response from buttons

G'Day!

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty, this will cost you nothing. If you're not under warranty the cost will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor. However, be warned that the cost could be considerably higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please post a comment if you need additional assistance so that I can help you further.

SOURCE: my vizio vx37l will power up but it wont get any

My TV did the same thing. You need a new power supply. Fairly simple to do yourself. The card is about a hundred bucks with shipping. The part number is 0500-0507-0250. You just have to take the back of the TV off (about a hundred screws). Just unplug the old one and plug the new one in.

Vizio vw37l hdtv20a standby light on but wont turn on

you either have a faulty power supply or faulty main board. Vizio power supplies on the older sets are pretty decent. It's usually the main boards that go. These older main boards tend to be pricey so it may be better to buy a new set.

Vizio tv no signal the scene is gray, can not turn off with unpluging

ok, I see this question for some reason is posted more than once= key clue is you have to unplug the set.

If you have not done so unplug the set for a while---unplugging allows the set's microprocessor to try to reset---every time you turn the set on or off it looks at a whole bunch of things.

If unplugging does not cure the issue you may have to with the model number call Vizio to see if this is a known issue with this model set.

If other buttons on the remote respond there may also be a way (ask Vizio) to do a reset of the set manually.

Vizio 37L suddenly stopped getting all digital channels

I had the same problem with my 42" vizio. Was working fine for about a year and a half, then a month after all stations went digital, I couldn't see any digital channels and it wouldn't scan for digital signals
This is a strange go around, but it worked for me. . Tried unplugging, pushing power button for two minutes... did everything the forums suggest, with no resolve. But, here's what DID work for me. Trust me, it sounds strange, but it continues to work (and, yes... it's not a permanent fix... the channels still go out once in a while, but I can always get them back now)
Use your Vizio remote control. Turn your TV on. Press the "input" button until you get to "RGB", which is what you would connect a computer to. Make sure no computer is connected, or it's at least off if it is connected. When you get to RGB, you'll see a message that says "No Signal". After about 5 seconds, the TV will enter a sleep mode and seem as if it has turned off (orange Vizio logo). Once it completes it's little sleep cycle and "clicks" off, wait a few seconds and hit the input button again. It'll go to the next menu item. Keep clicking input until you're back on "TV", and VUALA! The channels are back!
I accidentally figured this out when trying to troubleshoot, but I'm glad I did. Didn't want to dishout $250 to get it fixed. Let us know if it works for you too!

Vizio VX37L 37'' LCD HDTV Television not turning on

Unplug set and hold and press the power button for about a minute. Replug set and turn it on. If nada, then the issue is with the power supply of the set. Given its age and the high cost of repairs it might be more cost effective to get a new set.
