The tray opened and closed before I had a chance to properly place the disc in the tray. Now I can't open the tray and the disc is stuck inside. Please advise! Thanks.
sorry, i didn't get a chance to finish...try unpluging the unit and shaking it and even try turning it upside down. eventually the disk will fall back into place.sorry, i didn't get a chance to finish...try unpluging the unit and shaking it and even try turning it upside down. eventually the disk will fall back into place.

Hello
According to your description, it seems that the disc tray is not loading into it porperly i thinks. Just do one thing. Without any disc in tray, close the tray either by using remote control or the front panel opn/close button of the system. If the tray closes first, and then reopens again without any command, make sure that the disc tray mechanism does not working properly, and the disc is not loading into it in place.
If this is alright, place a disc in the tray, set close, and push the tray with your finger slightly as it closes, and see whether it loads properly and play the disc. If so, loading belt inside the loading mechanism is worn out, ans should be replaced. In most cases, this may be the fault. Check it.
You can do the repair work, if you have some knoledge in electroncis, and its mechanical function. If not, get it repaired by an experienced service technican. Most of them can do this work, as it is simply a mechanical one. OK.
The DVD player jammed, that is why it is not opening.
To get it to open and close, you will have to unplug the player, then unscrew the screws around it. Take off the cover then you will have access to the disc tray. Then you can plug the player and press open, it will attempt to open but stop, then you can try to apply a little force in pushing the disc tray towards the open direction, it will sit properly and open up.
You can as well unscrew the disc tray and remove your disc, then you press the open button and sit the disc tray properly it will open freely and easily after then.
Hello the unit is out of timing now, it will have to be taken apart and retimed. You have skipped some gear tracks and the unit will not close until the Tray is realigned. Try hitting the eject button so the tray comes all the way out then pull on it gently to see if it realigns it self. When it trys to go back in it is hitting the clamper because the tray has not reached home and the clamper that gasps the disk is closing before it has a chance to return home.
In the front of the tray there a small whole, try bending a paperclip straight with a small hook at the end and careully stivk it in that whole. Than gently try pulling it back thus opening the tray. Remove your disc and do not put any other disc in it but try to close the tray by using the button. If it closes, try to reopen it.
Check your disc for any dirt or perhaps some remains of stickers. Be carefull with homemade discs, they might have a stickered label on it which can cause problems such as getting your tray stuck and not opening anymore ;-) .
Is it making the noise like it will open then getting stuck? If so, this can be tricky! It happens with me sometimes. Press the open button and as it goes to try and open push the disc tray in slightly and up and it should pop open, it does with me anyway.
you should never use a disc thats scratched inside yiour machine its most likely your dvd machine is having trouble reading your media the best way to solve this is to unplug your machine wait turn it back on keep pressing eject
it should eject dont use that dvd disc again
