The tray opened and closed before I had a chance to properly place the disc in the tray. Now I can't open the tray and the disc is stuck inside. Please advise! Thanks.

Hello
According to your description, it seems that the disc tray is not loading into it porperly i thinks. Just do one thing. Without any disc in tray, close the tray either by using remote control or the front panel opn/close button of the system. If the tray closes first, and then reopens again without any command, make sure that the disc tray mechanism does not working properly, and the disc is not loading into it in place.
If this is alright, place a disc in the tray, set close, and push the tray with your finger slightly as it closes, and see whether it loads properly and play the disc. If so, loading belt inside the loading mechanism is worn out, ans should be replaced. In most cases, this may be the fault. Check it.
You can do the repair work, if you have some knoledge in electroncis, and its mechanical function. If not, get it repaired by an experienced service technican. Most of them can do this work, as it is simply a mechanical one. OK.

The DVD Player won't Open/Close and there is a DVD inside. How do I force it open?

Hello,

The DVD player jammed, that is why it is not opening.

To get it to open and close, you will have to unplug the player, then unscrew the screws around it. Take off the cover then you will have access to the disc tray. Then you can plug the player and press open, it will attempt to open but stop, then you can try to apply a little force in pushing the disc tray towards the open direction, it will sit properly and open up.

You can as well unscrew the disc tray and remove your disc, then you press the open button and sit the disc tray properly it will open freely and easily after then.

Take care and good luck

DVD tray is stuck

Hello,

If your DVD tray is stuck, that simply means there is a problem with the mechanism that is controlling the tray from the inside part of the player.

For you to fix this, get the appropriate screwdriver,

open the back cover of the player.

you will see a mechanism by the side of the opening and closing of the tray.

Carefully examine the mechanism, and you will detect what is faulty on the mechanism.

You can replace the faulty mechanism or better still replace the whole mechanism.

Ensure the disc tray is properly seated.

yest it with a DVD disc before you couple it back together.

Take care

When we put disc in tray keeps popping out and saying close tray.

There is a magnet inside the DVD drive that has dislodged and is now stuck to the top of the drive, causing the tray to keep popping out.

To fix this yourself, you're going to need to open your xbox, open the DVD drive, and glue that little magnet back in its place.

Follow this guide to do it.

The disc tray of my Yamaha cdc-745 CD player does open properly.

It's the belt inside the machine - open tray and look in front left side and you will see it. Easy to change out with new one.

Disc table does not open or close - stuck open

Hello the unit is out of timing now, it will have to be taken apart and retimed. You have skipped some gear tracks and the unit will not close until the Tray is realigned. Try hitting the eject button so the tray comes all the way out then pull on it gently to see if it realigns it self. When it trys to go back in it is hitting the clamper because the tray has not reached home and the clamper that gasps the disk is closing before it has a chance to return home.

The tray of cds does not work properly, does not allow the change of disc to disc and stuck

Try pressing repeatedly the eject button while you turn on the unit. If this doesnot work
then it is a mechanically problem in your player .

You need to manually open to take out the cd .

The rubber thread which should be connected to the motor inside the cd player might have moved from its place.

You need to place the rubber thread to proper place.

Also if the belt is slipping, the mech never gets the "drawer closed" signal, and the disk will not spin.

Stuck disc (similar problem)

In the front of the tray there a small whole, try bending a paperclip straight with a small hook at the end and careully stivk it in that whole. Than gently try pulling it back thus opening the tray. Remove your disc and do not put any other disc in it but try to close the tray by using the button. If it closes, try to reopen it.

Check your disc for any dirt or perhaps some remains of stickers.
Be carefull with homemade discs, they might have a stickered label on it which can cause problems such as getting your tray stuck and not opening anymore ;-) .

Disc tray stuck closed

Is it making the noise like it will open then getting stuck? If so, this can be tricky! It happens with me sometimes. Press the open button and as it goes to try and open push the disc tray in slightly and up and it should pop open, it does with me anyway.
