It clicks and the standby light flashes. It sounds like a faulty capacitor but none of them look leaky or bulging. Any advice?

I may have the fix.... Fixed two of my 50 inch plasmas that stopped turning on 1 year after I bought them. They both wouldn't turn on.... LOL Just gave me the black screen of death and a red blinking LED when I tried to turn on. I have pics and step by step instructions. Your time and under 40 bucks is what you'll need. I fixed both my sets for 80 cents. You can fix yours too.... I too got the it would be better to replace it than to have it fixed lie told to me too. I held out to the bitter end. Glad I did....

i have the same exact tv with the same problem... it was a bad connection on a transistor... look at the connections closely

I am having the same issue with my 52" Samsung ... it just started recently and it appears to be cycling the inputs after it powers on ... is that what yours is doing too? Please let me know if you find anything out and I will do the same ... sneye_per at the yahoo 8)

At this point it appears that your main board is probably bad. You most likely have a 5 volt scource going to the main board but its not powering up the set. The main board is part number BN94-00796A.
