My machine stopped at 11 minutes. It would not spin, or cycle thru the rest of the wash cycle. I lifted the top to see if the tub or agitators were spinning ccw or cw. There was no spinning of either part at all.
I replaced the clutch assy and it ran fine thru two wash cycles. It then once again stopped at 11 min and had a dc code. Now it is spinning slowly, the tub wabbles erratically (none of the tub hardware was touched during the clutch install.) and there is now water leaking from the bottom of the tub somewhere..
Mike, Sorry to hear that, is there any water around the clutch pulley? With the front panel removed and you put the washer in a Spin Only cycle with no clothes in the wash basket. View the Clutch pulley turning CCW and see if is turning true with no wobble? Mine spun off twice before I got it seated properly, and it was in wobble mode until I got it seated properly. With the water leak issue maybe you can view with the front panel off and a partial fill the leak source. You can always do a quick tub pump out in service mode. As you know unplug the 120VAC to the machine before you poke around in there. Do you still have the original clutch? Did you remove the plastic cover and inspect the roller bearings, clutch spring and coupler? Good luck and let’s see what you find. Rich
Hello geany226,
What is you washer model number?  If it's a FAV6800A or FAV9800A are you failing at about 22 min into a Quick Wash cycle with dc or UC error code in the display?  If yes then I feel you have a clutch malfunction.  If it is the above model number there is a DIY fix if you are handy. Just need to know accurate info regarding the failure code to the display and model number of the machine and we will go from there.
Hello Brooke,
It can, can you first verify your model and serial number, just need the first two digits of your machine serial number, ie. 10,12,16 etc. That information is located on the right back side of the machine console. Most times the clutch can be removed by the average DIY'er in about 30 min. I recommend inspecting the clutch roller bearings and clutch spring. Most of the time a clean up with WD-40 and some light bearing grease will get you back in service. If the clutch bearings are rusted up beyond clean up or the clutch spring is broken then a clutch replacement will be required. I recommend this clutch as a replacement. I put that clutch in my machine just to make sure it would work. Take a look and read thru the post in the link below. In that post I go thru a step by step process to replace the clutch (comment of 3/18). I can also provide phone support no charge; I'm a DIY'er owner of the machine. I believe the repair cost to replace the clutch and labor will be around $300 if you don't DIY the repair/maintenance for this issue, most times it is just clutch maintenance.
I’ll be waiting for your model number and first two digits of your serial number. Rich

What is your model number? If it’s a FAV6800AW are you taking dc or UC errors to the display?

Google ""Maytag Neptune load unbalance""
Read thru the post. I feel you have a Clutch malfunction even though you may not be see DC ot UC unbalance errors to the Console.
I'm seeing that around the 5 to 6 yr mark it's time for a Tub Seal replacement and possible Outer Tub and Spinner Support bearings should be replaced on the FAV6800A and FAV9800A machines. It's not too bad for most DIY owners.

My washer is stopping at 11 minutes in the spin cycle & displaying dc also. I can remove the clothes & it will continue to finish the cycle. I tried to run another load but it did the same thing. Can it be fixed without a repairman?
