I'M TRYING TO HOOK UP MY MAGNAVOX DVD PLAYER MODEL NUMBER DP100MW8B TO MY NEW SANYO HDTV. I HAVE TRIED TO USE THE YELLOW, WHITE AND RED JACKS AND PICTURE DOESN'T COME IN THAT GREAT SO I WENT TO RADIO SHACK AND BROUGHT THE BLUE, GREEN AND RED JACKS. STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH PICTURE. IT PLAYS...BUT THE PICTURE IS JUST SHOWING BLUE AND YELLOW IMAGES. AM I NOT CONNECTING THE JACKS CORRECTLY? PLEASE HELP! I DON'T HAVE THE OWNER'S MANUAL BOOK SO I'M IN LIMBO.

How can I hook my Magnavox MWD7006 player up to a entertainment system. So far sound is playing in Stereo (3 speaker) format instead of (six speaker) format or Db5.1. Any ideas? I used a s-video cable to connect.

This player is manufactured by the Funai Corporation for Magnavox. This is a very basic DVD player.
After speaking with the Funai
Corporation Support Line, they have no problem giving out region hack
codes for other models they make such as Symphonic, Emerson, as long as
the user understands if you make a mistake and something happens, not
their fault, etc.. For this basic player - No codes exist.

For the Magnavox DP100MW8B there is a Phillips universal (SRU3003WM/17)controller for about $7 that you can get at Wal-Mart. The remote control code is 0447!

on the side of the tv mostly there is a button for dvd mode you will have to press that button to reach in dvd mode.if no such button then its the cables fault or the wires are not connected properly just check out this link for connections
