When i plug the charging cord into the headset it acts like its going to charge the red charging light comes on but its only shortly that it goes off. How can i get this Lg bluetooth headset to take a charge?
Mine wont work i tried all of these things... it only works when its on the charger.
Mine did the same i took it back and got another and the same thing it would charge for maybe a minute and stop so i got a cheaper brand later i put it on the charger maybe a couple weeks later and it charges.
I had the same problem as well and kept my bluetooth plugged in even though it wasn't fully charged when the red light stopped blinking. Thought it would never work again, but it finally turned on after trying it again after a few months. Odd..

When your headset is detected, just select it and follow onscreen instructions to pair it with your phone.

Be sure the the headset in in 'Pairing' mode.
When in pairing mode, the light should be flashing red and blue or have a steady blue.
The put most headsets in pairing mode, turn headset OFF, then hold the power button until it goes into pairing mode as discribed above.
Then you can discover it with your phone or PC. Pin (pass key) should be 0000 (4 Zeros) or try 1111, 1234, 9999

Mine doesn't work either .... Tried the next step but the audible doesn't work either. So now what
I just figure it out the charging problem that you describe, because I had exactly the same problem, plug the charging cord into the headset, acting like its going to charge the red charging light comes on but only for a short time, then it goes off, The battery is the problem, Just change the battery and it will work like new, My LG model is HBS-900 the battery is half the size of the HBS-730, I install a battery from HBS-730 it is better and last longer, and it will fit inside the case just fine, if you want your headsets battery to last, I recommend to recharge the headsets on the 12V battery, like power bank, laptop usb port, car charger, My opinion is that the battery is to weak for the power outlet (110V) it will fry the battery very fast, that is why most of the headsets last just a few month. I think LG needs to sale a power transformer charger with this headsets to prevent frying the small battery, especially if they charge $80-$150 for there headsets! Good luck Everyone!
