Change the password of the account from which you login in facebook for example Hotmail.
Now go change your fb password and deactivate your account.

There is really nothing stored on your computer so basically to delete facebook, just don't return to the site.

If you mean to remove your profile from Facebook. Then simply login to Facebook, go to Account (top right corner) then Account Settings. Under the screen that comes up at the bottom of the list is the button to DEACTIVATE the account. Be sure you read and understand the information it tells you. But this will remove YOU from Facebook.

Under my account settings there is an option to deactivate the account. Other than manually deleting every profile wall post, videos, etc., this is about all you can do.
