Cannot download photos

I own a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZI and the battery ran out while downloading pictures and the alarm beeped. I recharged the battery and tried again but now after the access box on the camera appears and beeps, nothing happens. The pictures are still in the camera but I cannot download them. Any suggestions?

I have to buy a card reader to see if this will solve my problem. If it does, then I will be able to rate the suggestion "excellent". I take the battery out to charge it so my camera is switched off then.

Did the battery fully recharge? Recharge it again mean while keep the camera switched of. If the memory card is removable try it in a card reader. If this problem persists it may be a camera electrical fault In which case contact Panasonic customer support

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 able to download to ipod

Not directly. You can download the pictures to a computer, then upload them to your iPod. If you connect the iPod and the camera or its memory card, you can transfer the pictures from one to the other without storing them on the computer.

I can't download photos from my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
