Model number 32V524T 32 In RCA Tv all of a sudden our TV just went out no picture and no sound but a BEEPING noice when the power comes on. What can the problem be and can we fix it ourselves?
You have a bad flyback transformer and shorted horizontal output transistor. Your set would have to be taken to a shop to have these parts replaced. Stargazer

I had the same problem with no picture or sound but a low beeping sound. i was able to fix the problem by simply cutting the red wire off of the power supply and splicing it to the knutson valve wire. also backed off orafus nut and added two thin plastic washers to create more positive connection on the rectalfire board
We are a hundred miles away from a fixer-up place is there a way to fix it ourself

the tv has one part of the power supply working this is needed to have the microcontroller ready to work. But the tv needs more than that for work im talking 'bout the high voltage power supply who is now damaged. the parts required depends on the diagnosis in the bench but at least two are needed. the cost of this repair of course depends in how many parts are going to be replaced, but i concider this repair kind of average in this technology.

My 32" RCA TV has no picture and no sound, my kids were watching it and it just went out, I tryed to unplug the tv to see if that helped but it did not, when you try to turn it on the red light just blinks several times but nothing happens. We bought this tv on 07/2006 and it no longer works.

My rca tv went out while I was watcing it. It won't turn on. It has a high pitch beeping coming from the back. I've tried unplugging and replugging it in to no avail.

Same thing happened to us. Just sitting there watching tv and everything turned off. A slight beeping noise occurs when we hit the power button. Plugging the tv in and unplugging it does nothing. How much does this cost to fix?
i have a hitachi tv, i turned it on i then heard noise but saw no picture, and then it kept on turning it self off, so then i kept on turning it back on, and then it just turned off and everytime i turn it back on i just hear a beeping sound. dere is no picture or sound coming from the tv anymore. does this means its broken?? :(. i have also tried turning off bu the plug and swicth that is not working. i have tried leaving it on while it beeps hoping that it might just come on by it self. that doesn't work. help help pls, its not my tv its my sisters.

We have the same problem on our RCA- Just happened this morning July 13,2008. TV is less than three years old. I tried to turn it on, no picture, no sound, just the red power button on top.

I have the same problem in that there is a loud beeping that has nothing to do with the actual speakers, it's a samsung crt tv, the rest works fine though, picture and sound.
I have a 50" Samsung DLP its about 2 1/2 years old and it makes a very loud beep. It sounds like a smoke alarm. I had service guy come out and he replace the large component in the back of the tv, he said it was like the brain of it. But that didnt help. I can turn the volume all the way down and it still does it. As of now I have been muting the tv and using surround sound.
