I have somewhat of a solution. when you go to www.att.com/BluetoothWizard, it will prompt you to put in the handset Make & Model and then proceed with the Make/Model of your Bluetooth. It is possible that your Bluetooth headset may not be compatible with the LG Vu.
SOURCE: how to get a bluetooth passkey
hi there,
if you are pairing the bluetooth headset device with your cell than the default passkey is 0000 (you can also check the user guide for bluetooth headset). and that will work with your phone.
if your pairing the phone with other phone then you need to create your own passkey to pair it with other device (try 1234) and the same key you have to write on other phone once you will do that your phone will be paired and you are able to use it.
i hope it will help you.
best of luck

The default pin code for most devices, especially headsets, is 0000 unless it was changed.
You should be able to go into the bluetooth settings on each phone, and find the security code there, or at least change it.
