If you can't remove it from Programs and Features, try to locate and delete its folder and files as well as the registry entries. Or try some free software remover.

Utorrent took over my system

Restart into safe mode by pressing F8 while it's booting. You should be able to run system restore from here, even uninstall uTorrent.

Utorrent.exe -enntry point not found error "the procedure entry point getextebdedtcptable could not be located in the dynamic link library iphlpapi.dll"

First of all make sure uTorrent is installed correctly, executable files (and .dll_s) are together. I will suggest you to uninstall previous installation download the latest stable uTorrent(not beta!) and make a clean installation.

I have recently installed utorrent onto my acer aspire one netbook and my internet explorer has taken many attempts to open up. usually i get the apologies, internet explorer needs to close message come...

Hello,
Utorrent is a stand alone java P2P tool. It should not affect your internet Explorer. Of course there are viruses out there disguised as utorrent etc, so make sure you downloaded utorrent from none other then utorrent.com. If utorrent installed a browser plugin, like a search bar, that may be causing the issue. Try disabling the toolbar or uninstall utorrent to see if the issue goes away. Make sure your computer is current with windows updates and of course do a virus scanner. A good tool for that is www.malwarebytes.org . If you are downloading files from torrent sites, much like any other P2P protocol, your chances of viruses go way up.

Got utorrent and down loaded ipv6 ,download speed very very slow disabled ipv6 and uninstalled utorrent and re installed utorrent and tryed other torrent downloaders all say ipv6 installed ,done the...

With utorrent you have to go into the options menu at the top right, then click preferences....once in there click on 'Connection'. The information window to the right has some changes you need to make....the first one where it says 'Port used for incoming connections'...change that to 64450 (you can use any random number over a certain range I generally choose one between 62000-64999). Now right below that, make sure the check box 'Add Windows Firewall exception' is checked. Now click 'Ok' and close the program then go and try to download your torrent.

(If you are using a 3rd party firewall program you will need to go in and enter an exception for utorrent manually)
