you should change either your battery or your usb cable when an orange light blinking on the usb cable indicator. .maybe one of those accessories was already defect..
you can know if the camera is charging by the indicator light in the usb cable, green light means it was full charged..red light means that unit still charging.
try cleaning the battery(copper bits) try charging it on your lap top, it should flash red green orange, keep unplugging and plug back in again its worked for us
I had the same problem while charging the camera with the cradle.
I tried charging directly with the camera and it looks good.
Problem seems to come from the cradle itself.

Ok. I have the samsung l200 but the cameras are very similar. I had
the issue as well. When I plug it in it flashes red once, green once,
then orange consistently. It would not charge the battery.
The fix was really quite unexpected. I did two things not sure which fixed it.
1. slide the cable into the camera slowly until the light turned red once, then pulled it gently in and out a few times.
2. as i plugged it in, I tried to angle the plug side to side sliding
it to the left and right on a diagonal. I was hoping the pins would be
touched differently when I did this which might reset something.
not sure which of these two things corrected the problem, but the camera is now charging.
