Obtain the manual for the mother board. Look for the CMOS reset jumpers the diagrams, it should be three pin with a plastic jumper on two. Move the jumper from the first two pins to the last two pins, then turn on the computer. This will reset the bios. Turn the computer off, then place the jumper back in it's original position so you retain any new changes you make.
If that is not possible, or seems over your head, look for a button battery the between the size of a nickel and a quarter. It usually lies flat on the board, but sometimes is mounted standing on its edge. Pull this battery out of the board while the power cord is unplugged. Press the power button a few times, then wait a while (I've waited a few hours, but 20 minutes or so should be enough.). Without replacing the battery, plug the power cord and turn it on. CMOS should be reset, allowing you to do what you need.
