DTV1300A Sansui is not dtv ready, Am I doing something wrong?

The model number you provided is for the Sansui tv remote. Are you trying to set up a universal remote that works with your new tv?

Get a universal remote that will sink up with the frequency of the tv. the new remote will tell you what tv's it will sync up with and procedure to do it

two ways of connecting VCR with Analog TV with DTV tuner.
DTV tuner (RF) output to VCR (RF) input,VCR (RF) output to analog TV (RF) input.
turn DTV tuner on (VCR should have a TV\VCR switch that makes signal coming from tuner BYPASS VHS right into TV) note:: change channel FROM tuner.You should be able to record by placing a blank tape and pressing RECORD.
2ND. DTV tuner, VCR, should have a RCA in\out connections...Audio & video.You need a RF\RCA bypass switch. It has a INput with RCA connections to a RF signal out that goes to the RF Input of analog TV

ir the tv isnt a dtv ready only you see the channel 3.if the tv is dtv ready run autoprogram

Hi, you need to give make & model so we can look up your set and determine if it has the old style "ntsc tuner" or the new type "atsc", if ntsc it will no longer work, video-tek

My girlfriend had the same issue with her 1300a. We saw on another forum that they took off the extra AV panel and infared receiver, so we opened it up. We couldn't really find either, but when we tightened all the plugs up things seem to be working fine again. Back to watching the Lifetime channel :(

SDTV The "D" means 'Defenition' not Digital, S is for 480i. You will need a convertor box. Sorry.....

if it's cable ready, dtv will work. it's all in the cable box.

My Ilo dtv2794B was programmed on Direct TV remote as follows:

In Direct TV mode press 'menu' .
Go to parental ,faves setup
Go to system set up
Go to remote
Go to TV
Select brand (Orion)
Follow directions from this point.
