Some TV's have a zoom function others do not. The program you're watching controls whether the top and bottom of the screen have black bars and is not the fault of the TV. Widening the picture cuts off a lot of the viewable picture and distorts the image. Circles tend to be oval. If your TV has a zoom function, use it.
Couple possibilities:
Fuser hot belt has wear lines transfering to the page
Black pcu needs to be replaced
Transfer unit is not being cleaned properly and needs to be replaced.
Remove each of these assy and inspect them for wear or lines that corespond to the lines on your prints.
2 yr old 42 inch plasma.screen goes black,sometimes only half screen,sound is on.it does it after 1 hr of viewing, theres a greenish line in the middle of the black sreen when that happens,

that sounds like a power supply problem check your filter caps in the power supply they are leaking.theyare not filtering the voltage properly.if you are not a tech kindly have one look at your set
