PROSCAN 26" LCD TV with DVD won't show all the channels

My TV is hooked to my basic cable line. It shows only 2 of the cable stations and one of the primetime stations. It shows that the channels are there and what station it is, but there is no picture and no audio.

Cocast may have only transmitting NTSC Ch 2~13 only for your area, to get more channel you may have to use Comcast cable box, I am in bay area, I can get 2~35 for basic plus service, I can get 2~13 for the most simple service for less money. What is your serivce level you are paying for?
Your TV also anly has NTSC tuner, there is no QAM or ATSC turner.

LC-26DA5U 26 in. HDTV-Ready LCD Television: i connect a hdmi cable 2 my hd cable box - the pic...

The cable box needs to be set to send different signals when using hd tv and standard tv. Usually a good setting would be 720p in hd and 480p in standard. The tv is working fine it is the cable box sending the signal. If you have another hdmi source such as a dvd player you may hook that up to show the tv is working just fine.

Proscan 32'' VGA port; TV says not supported on VGA input

Sounds like your resolution on your computer is set too high for your tv to accept. Try putting your computer resolution down to 1024x768 or lower and see if that works.

Tv screen is white; sound is ok

Need more information about you problem. Does the white screen appear on all functions.Does any input signal like a dvd or vcr show picture. If so, then you have a problem with signal connection coming from the television signal source, like a cable or satellite box. You need to check the connecting cables to see if they are outputting signal. Try using different cables to connect the signal source to the television. If this does not work. Try hooking up the signal source to another television to make sure you are receiving signal from them.If all this seems to be working fine and you are sure that you are using the remote control inputs correctly, you may have a problem the video input signal board on the television. You can contact PROSCAN at this web address. www.oncorpus.com. Go to customer support and ask for their technical assistance with your problem. The telephone number for PROSCAN service is 1-888-977-6722. I hope this has been of help with your problem.

Proscan 26LB30Q Vs PS2 = HELP

The red white and yellow cables are composite connections. The red/green/blue connections are component connections.

The playstation's composite connections consist of two audio connections- red & white, and a composite yellow video connection. The TV's white connection is the audio, and the red/green/blue are component video. You need an adapter that will connect the one yellow(composite video) to the three red/green/blue (component video) connections

Proscan tv surround sound hook up

This depends on whether you have digital cable box or not. If you have a Digi Cable Box look for the red/white RCA output and connect this via RCA cable to the Red/White Audio input on your surround.

If just Basic Cable look for a red/white audio output on the back of your televison. connect this to the Red/white in on your surround. Could be called tv in or auxillary.

Bad Cable Input

Try using your RCA imput to see how the picture looks compared to the tuner picture,is possible your tuner imput is bad, make sure the conector is not loose, the overall picture should look different but not fuzzy all over, using a dvd picture thru the aux (rca)imput should show you the difference. If the conector is loose only it could be repaired but if it is solid the tuner might be bad and it will need to be replaced along with any board it might be mounted to.Let us know how it goes or if you need more information.
