If you use Kasperskyantivirus program: The problem lies in the "webanti-virus" module. Fix (avoiding disabling the wholeweb protection) : In the "web anti-virus"tab under "protection" main page, click configure", then "customize",then replace the "buffering scan" traffic scan method with the"streaming scan" method, by checking the appropriate box, then OK.Close chrome if open, then retry reading a youtube video with chrome. Shouldwork fine. I think the issue is the way theHTTP headers are handled by Kaspersky, that's why I would recommend to trydisabling any software that can modify traffic in any way (mainly anti virussoftware, firewalls and stuff like google web accelerator it seems). If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solvesthe issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Can't get Adobe Flash Player 9 ActiveX.exe to download.

Flash player 9 is actually not the latest version. If you want to install the latest version which is version 10, follow the steps below:

a. Download the most recent Flash Player uninstaller to your desktop from the TechNote below. Please read the instructions in the TechNote before running the uninstaller.
How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control

b. Quit ALL running applications, including all Internet Explorer windows, other browser windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger or other messengers. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications which might possibly use Flash Player is still in memory.
c. Open the following folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
d. Run Flash Player uninstaller.
e. Check if there are files left in the folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash. If there are any files left inside the folder, delete the files.
